Hello Everyone!The school year is getting close to the end and here at Downtown Art School we begin to plan our summer schedule. There will be classes available for the kids who are staying around for the summer months. I’ll be doing the 5 week courses during June, July and August, 2017.
The program will include the exciting mix of teaching the academic drawing and painting skills, art history and the fun, stimulating projects that should promote the students creativity and free thinking. As the weather gets warmer we’ll be able to go outside for the plain-air sessions to work on live nature drawings.
The classes will take place in my studio in downtown Jersey City at 284 Barrow Street. The length of a class is 1 hour 15 minutes. I’m planning to teach on Thursday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 7:15 pm.
The first day of the course as well as the final schedule will be determined once I know how many kids are signed up.
The price for the entire course per student is $150 including the art materials.
Bella Marskaya is an experienced art teacher and a practicing fine artist currently showing her work at I B Clark Gallery in Hew Hope, PA and at MORA in Jersey City, NJ.

She’s graduated from NYU with MA in Studio Art. She works as a textile designer in New York City. She is living in Jersey City.
