Winter Break Art Camp
I’m offering an intensive art course for the children 6 to 15 years old. The course will continue for 4 consecutive days 12/26/16 to 12/29/16 with the lessons running from 6:00 to 7:45 pm on each day.
During the course we’ll work on some of the following topics:
1.Live drawing of a still life – learning to observe the proportions, shapes and colors of the objects and render them realistically. Understanding the importance of light and shadow.
2.Learning painting and drawing techniques- mixing and applying colors in order to achieve the 3D effect in a composition, using brushes correctly, using various drawing materials to the best results.
3.Free topic composition- using the previously learned skills. Learning how to express artistic intention graphically. Bringing in the visual drama and intrigue into the work of art. Understanding what makes a work of art interesting and relevant.
The classes will take place in my studio, the home of Downtown Art School. The price of the course per student is $200 including the art materials.
Bella Marskaya is an experienced art teacher and a practicing fine artist currently showing her work at I B Clark Gallery in Hew Hope, PA and at MORA in Jersey City, NJ.
She’s graduated from NYU with MA in Studio Art. She works as a textile designer in New York City. She lives in Jersey City.
